Role

We are N-able. For 11 years, we have diligently delivered technology-enabled business outcomes to our customers. Our infrastructure, telecom, banking and development businesses have excelled in delivering value to our esteemed customers. We are looking for a Head of Finance to transfer the finance function and to create a culture of excellence and ownership in the Company. The person should be energetic, willing to think out of the box to develop the right operational strategy backed by accurate financial reporting to the Managing Director and Board of Directors.

The Person we are looking for

Responsibilities

As part of theExecutive Leadership Team (ELT), the Head of Finance is responsible for the financial management of the organization;

Financial Control &Management

Managing the financial reporting for the organization. This includes monthly financial reporting profit and loss account balance sheet cash flow statements and supporting schedules, and all statutory financial statements. Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the financial statements are compliant with applicable accounting standards.Presenting the financial performance at the monthly Board meetings.

Budgetary Control

Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the ELT to make critical business decisions Including presenting monthly segmentation information/results to theELT explain actual results in comparison to budgets, margin analysis, billingand collections information and provide input to mitigate adverse variances in the monthly results from a finance perspective.

 

Treasury Management

Managing of cash flows, including optimum utilization of funding available for projects. Good banking relationships for negotiating, facilities and obtaining competitive interest rates.

 

Taxation

To liaise with the tax consultants, ensuring timely submission of tax returns and settlement of tax liabilities while adhering strictly to prevailing tax regulations.

 

Commercial Inputs

Providing input to the commercial decisions of the organization including input in relationship to tenders and business proposals, carrying out margin and profitability analysis, based on proposed pricing of proposals and ensuring compliance with delegated approval limits on submission of tender’s and/or business proposals

 

Strategic Planning

Play a key role in the formulating on of the business strategy of the organization including budgeting and forecasting, 5 year financial plans which will include monthly profit and lossstatements balance sheets and cash flow statements

 

Advising on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to the ELT including suggestions to increase revenue and effectively reduce cost of operations

What we require

  • 15+ years overall experience of which 10+ years' experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or professional qualifications in accountancy Chartered Institute o
  • Accountants Sri Lanka, Chartered Institute of ManagementAccountants UK, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants U
  • 2+ years’ work experience in a big 4 audit firm at some stage in their caree
  • Sound decision making skills based on accurate and timely analyse
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels
