N-able Showcases Government Super App Vision at National IT Conference 2026
N-able participated as a Gold Sponsor at the National IT Conference (NITC) 2026, held from 14 to 16 October at Shangri-La Colombo. The conference brought together technology professionals, industry leaders and policymakers to discuss the role of technology in shaping Sri Lanka’s digital future.
The conference was held under the theme “Human Centric Skills Towards Society 5.0,” with discussions spanning digital transformation, emerging technologies and the development of a more connected, technology-enabled society. The event also featured the participation of the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka as Guest of Honour.
Advancing Citizen-Centric Digital Government
On the second day of the conference, Akalanka Abeysinghe, Head of Strategic Government Business at N-able, delivered a technical session titled “Accelerating Citizen Services through Super App and High-Assurance Decentralized Identities ahead of SL-UDI.”
The session explored the role of Sri Lanka’s Government Super App in simplifying access to public services through a single, citizen-centric digital platform.
Awarded to N-able by the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Government Super App project is intended to provide a single gateway for citizens to access government services. The initial phase is planned to introduce four services, with the platform designed to scale to approximately 80 services over time.
A key focus of Akalanka’s presentation was how the Super App could support the evolution of digital public services while preparing for integration with Sri Lanka’s planned Unique Digital Identity (SL-UDI) framework. The session examined modular application architecture, digital credentials and progressive identity verification, alongside the importance of security, privacy and interoperability in building trust in digital government services.
The presentation also highlighted how a phased approach to identity verification could support different levels of assurance depending on the nature and sensitivity of each service, while providing a pathway towards future integration with national digital identity infrastructure.
Contributing to Sri Lanka’s Digital Future
N-able’s participation at NITC 2026 reflects its role in supporting Sri Lanka’s digital transformation through technology, systems integration and application modernisation.
Through the Government Super App project, N-able is contributing to an initiative designed to make public services more accessible and convenient for citizens. The project represents an important opportunity to support the development of a more connected digital government ecosystem, with the potential to expand access to services for millions of Sri Lankans.
As the country continues its digital transformation journey, N-able remains focused on delivering secure, scalable technology solutions that address evolving national priorities and create meaningful value for citizens and institutions.
