Engineer - Network and Security

The Role

Responsible for the overall operational quality, services delivery and security compliance of customer network and security infrastructure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with organizational security rules and standards.
  • Assist with monitoring and auditing of information systems activities and systems to confirm information security policy compliance and provide management with security policy compliance assessments and system monitoring reports.
  • Provide and maintain the overall Operational Quality, Service Delivery and Security Compliance.
  • Support multi-vendor Firewall platforms featuring Checkpoint IP series Firewalls and Cisco ASA & IPS.
  • Maintain HTTP/HTTPs and SOCKS Proxies environment featuring Bluecoat SG series.
  • Support of BIGIP F5 Local Traffic Manager Load balancers including iRules and iControl scripts.
  • Configuring routing/switching, and familiarity with network security including VPN, firewalls, IPS, NAC, ACS, Bluecoat, F5, checkpoint and Cisco voice gateways.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions for all systems including OS upgrades, hardware fixes, etc
  • Maintain and organize reporting information and documentation for Management review.
  • Participate in on call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Networking or related Discipline
  • CCNA Certification
  • 1 to 2 years of industry experience
  • Good understanding of configuring and troubleshooting routers/firewalls/switches
  • Good understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 networks
  • Positive attitude and teamwork
